tenNIS PLAYERS AND THEIR RACKETS
by JAUME BUSOMS and COLLABORATIONS
This collection serves as a historical reminder of the winning combination of tennis players and their rackets in some of the Grand Slam tournaments between 1957 and 1983.
In cases where rackets have existed in different versions throughout history (e.g., Slazenger Challenge No. 1, Dunlop Maxply Fort, Wilson Jack Kramer Autograph), the corresponding version and approximate dating are provided.
This section is open to changes and contributions. So far, it has received contributions from:
• Emili Bosch (Chemold, Bancroft King Personal, Bancroft Players Special, Yonex Carbonex 2, Adidas Haillet, Adidas Nastase Competition)
• David Castelló (Donnay Diamant, Rossignol Johan Kriek Carbon, Pro Kennex Black Ace, Rossignol F-200 Carbon)
• Igor Del Busto (Wilson Don Budge Autograph)
• Jordi Bosch (Spalding Richard Gonzales model 1 and 2, Wilson Tony Trabert Autograph mod 1, Spalding Syncro Stroke, Slazenger Constelation Model, Spalding Graphite)
For those interested in expanding information about the rackets that won Grand Slam tournaments, I recommend the exhaustive work of Jean Claude Marty, with his books “Les Raquettes de Légende” and “Roland Garros, un stade, un tournoi, des vainqueurs, des raquettes,” as well as the magnificent collection by David Castelló.
